Weston Christmas Draw & Party We raised just over €2,100 from the Christmas Draw.

The winners of the Draw were as follows:
1st Prize = €500, ticket sold by Aine Codd
2nd Prize = €200, ticket sold by Alison Cooke
3rd Prize = €50, ticket sold by Phil Corcoran
4th Prize = €50, ticket sold by Mark Benzies

I would like Special Thanks to be expressed to Margaret Lowry Hayes, Philip Corcoran for their help in distribution and collection of tickets, Emmet for the numerous text alerts required to rally everyone into returning the tickets in time for the draw, Mark Benzies for trawling the Lord Lucan on Saturday evening and adding at least a couple of hundred Euro to the bottom line in last minute ticket sales and Peter Kirwan for arranging the printing of the tickets.

And of course to all the members, Senior and Junior for putting in the effort to sell the tickets and collect the cash.

Approx 100 people attended the Weston Quiz night in the Lord Lucan on the 12th November.
Sean Kirwan was Quiz Master extraordinary, with some baffling and difficult questions, including a picture round and cryptic puzzles.
With 24 tables, competition was strong, at the top and the bottom of the leader board.

Overall winners - John Egan, Peter Roche, Richard Hannan & Declan Finn
With 3 other teams tied for 2nd place, a tie-break question re the total funds raised was given and Grainne, Declan and parents came in closest, therefore taking 2nd place.
A raffle was also held on the night, where club members had surpassed themselves with prizes. All the tickets were sold out and all the teams must have gone home with at least one prize. Some did seem to have more of a winning streak on the night than others.

Thanks to all who helped organise the night, those who gave prizes and who attended on the night.
We raised EUR1,400 + for the club.
