Due to the lack of numbers attending Weston Hockey Club have postponed the Cocktail & Fancy dress on Saturday 24th October, but it is now on Halloween Night, Saturday 31st October. This is a fundraising night, much needed funds for our club. Please contact your captain for tickets. Bring your friends, boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, etc....all welcome ...

>>Last Man Standing Competition

This year we're running a last man standing competition, each week you pick one team from the weekends Barclays Premier League fixtures that you think will win their match. If they win you go through to the next round, if they lose or draw they you're out of the competition. You can only pick a team once per competition. The competition will run for ten weeks or until everyone is eliminated., which ever is first. The entry fee is €10 and you can enter as many teams as you like at the start of each competition.


Please bring your entry fee (or if you can get your friends/family to enter even better) and this weeks team selection to training on Thursday or enter via the email address below.

5 PM on Friday is the cut off for entry.

Rules:

Rules:
1) Each week you must pick 1 team to win.
2) You may only pick each team once in a series(so if you pick Arsenal in week one then you cannot pick them again for the next 9 weeks)
3) If your team wins you move on to round 2, if your team loses, draws or you fail to nominate a team you are knocked out
4) There are 10 rounds in each series
5) The winner is the 'last man standing' or anyone left after series 10
6) The winner/winners receive 40% of the money raised with the other 60% going to Weston HC. There may be additional non monetary prizes available.
7) Please email your chosen team for the following weeks matches to lmsweston@gmail.com by Thursday each week.
8) If all games participants are involved in end in draws or losses on a given weekend the prize find will be divided equally among all participants remaining in the competition for that weekend.
9) Each series of matches comprises FA Premier League games on Saturday, Sunday and Monday of each weekend. If a team plays more than one league match on the Saturday/Sunday/Monday the first match will count.

Thanks to Burnley, many were disappointed in Week 1.
One unnamed person watched her first full soccer match, only for Man City to draw. She brought another €10 to training to buy her way back in. We sent her to gamblers anonymous

Summer Hockey finished till Summer 2010. It takes place every wednesday a chance to come down and give hockey a go from 7pm
All over 16 years of age welcome, guys and girls.  This is a fun easy way to try out and see if hockey is the game for you!

On the Course, players must be suitably attired and wear appropriate golf footwear.

Ø      Shorts other than tailored shorts with appropriate socks.

Ø      Track suits (tops or bottoms).

Ø      Singlets, vests or collarless shirts.   

Ø      Football shirts.

            The following are prohibited at all times in the Bar and Dining areas:

Ø      Wearing of hats, overcoats, sweaters without shirts.
