The Ladies 1sts had a very successful season this year finishing safely in Division 4 after being promoted last season. They beat Glenanne in Division 3 to put them in the Quarter Final of the Leinster Cup but were unfortunately beaten 1-0 by a very strong Pembroke side also from Division 3. For the first time ever Weston Ladies played in the Irish Junior Cup but were unfortunately beaten by a controversial goal 2 1 against Clontarf who had just come down from Division 1.

The 1sts player of the year was Mairead D’Arcy

Ladies 2nds remained mid-table of Division 8 for the majority of the season. They had the potential to do a lot better and a few wins just before Christmas could have seen them climb up the table. However, they couldn’t seem to get back their winning form after the Christmas Break. A lot of their losing score-lines did not reflect how well the team played and it was hard to believe that such a good team faced relegation. They did enough to ensure that this did not happen and finished in 6th place overall. They had a great team this year with quality players and a great atmosphere within the team.

Weston Ladies 3rds although unsuccessful on scoring in many matches, showed great potential, as many new and young members joined the team. This young team shows great potential for the future of the club.

The 3rds player of the year was midfielder Siobhan Doyle and the young player of the club was their defender Stephanie Maher.

I would like to convey my sincere thanks to the following people who helped me greatly in this season as match secretary.
