Here you can find everything you need to know about Weston Junior Section.
2007/2008 Season proved great with our Junior members. We had Under 8's, 10's, 12's, 14's & 16's.
New members always welcome.
Weston Junior Hockey Club was another huge success this season. After the launch of our new pitch in May 2007, the Junior Section of the club attracted an ever growing number of new members. We have about 100 junior members ranging in age from 5 to 16. All teams played home and away matches and tournaments throughout the season. The U14s and U16s played in a Leinster League and won most of their matches scoring plenty of goals. Read more information below for more on the Junior Section!

MORE INFORMATION
Weston Junior Hockey Club 2007/2008
We started the year with a tournament which all children participated in. At Christmas, Santa Claus came and we had a Christmas party at the pitch. We finished the season at the end of March with a very enjoyable awards ceremony. In April, Barbara Ryan entered a team to represent Lucan in the Dublin Community Games. Lucan are now through to the Leinster Finals of these Games and we wish them all the very best of luck.
A huge element of our success once again must be attributed to all our dedicated and committed coaches we had all year. I would also like to thank the committee members, Emmet Hutchin, Frances Carroll, Grainne Ni Lanagain, Emma Gunn, Margaret Lowry Hayes and Clare Bernie and anyone else who helped out throughout the year.
Next year will require even more support from our Senior Section. There is tremendous talent and potential right here on our doorstep but we need to encourage and develop it. These young boys and girls are the future of our club. We can always do with an extra pair of hands!
