The Ladies 1st team reached the 2nd round of the Middle Cup
while the 2nd team reached the 2nd round of the Minor Cup.
Extracts from Weston HC's 92/93 Newsletter :-
Ladies 1st Team - Kathy Holmes left the club. Anne Kelly, new recruit joined the
club. Vera King retired because of
injury problems.
Ladies 2nd Team - Also lost their goalkeeper and Anne
Marie Jarvis recruited to position from outfield. Hilary Burke returned to club but departed
again for South Africa. Emma O'Connor
joined the club as did Louise Kilpatrick.
Shauna Curran also returned to Club after birth of son Thomas.
Mens 1st Team - Just after half way stage in the league
they are leading Division 3 and if they carry on in the same vein they will
gain promotion to Senior 2. They beat
Phoenix Pk in the first round of the cup.
Mens 3rd Team - After last years indifferent season, the
team are beginning to put a consistent run together and are unbeaten in their
last five matches (all drawn). Lack of
numbers is a major problem. Emmett
Hutchin is now playing in goal with George Clarke playing as well as ever. The team were knocked out of the Minor Cup.
Annual 5-a-side held in September 92 and was won by
Galway Hookers for the second year running.
Reduced from 6-a-side due to lack of numbers.
Christmas party held in Lucan GAA Club.
