The Ladies fielded two teams, the 1st's in Middle 'A' and the 2nd's in Minor 'A'.   In their Cup matches the 1st's reached the 2nd round of the Middle Cup while the 2nd's reached the 1st round of the Minor Cup.

 

 

The following extracts are taken from the 1991 Xmas Newsletter :-

 

The Mens 1st Team got off to a great start this season and had not dropped a point until a few weeks ago.   Under the enthusiastic captaincy of Shane O'Hare, they must be near, if not at the top, of Division 3.   Their matches are well worth watching and the team now has a very good blend of youth and experience.

The Mens 2nd Team have not been as lucky points wise.   Dick Heywood Jones as team captain has the unenviable task of blending players with less than three years experience with those with 103 years experience.   After Xmas should see more points (pints !) on the table.

The Mens 3rd Team has also had mixed fortune but are now on the up and up according to the team captain.   It has welcomed back old players from retirement as well as introducing new players.   Jim Collins, team captain, will whip them into shape for the new year.

The Ladies 1st Team were finding hockey fairly pointless until last week.   Captain, Elaine Jarvis, had a frustrated team on hands as they managed a record number of unlucky 1-0 defeats.   But at last the pattern has been broken.   Thanks to Alex Birnie who has acted as Coach/Mentor for the team for the last few weeks and to Anne Jarvis our ever reliable Umpire.

The Ladies 2nd Team have been doing well under the guidance of Anne Jarvis with only one defeat in a league match.   This year has seen a lot of new Members in the Ladies section.   Welcome to one and all.
