In the Railway Cup
Weston 1 reached the semi-final of the Railway Cup in
which they now meet
O'Hare opened the scoring for Weston from a McGivern pass and K. Duke soon put them two up when he
dribbled into the circle and scored from near the back line with a reverse
stick shot.
RCSI were rewarded for their constant pressure on the Weston
defence when centre-half Singh pushed towards the circle and their inside-left
beating two defenders gave goalkeeper Buggie no
chance.
In the second half McGivern
increased their lead from an O'Hare pass although they had lost their
left-winger earlier on.
In the Intermediate League 'B', Weston 2 and Corinthians
3 played a draw, 0-0.
