The draw for the first round of the Railway Cup saw Weston 1 drawn away to Pembroke Wanderers 2.

In Middle 'A', Lorraine had a good win over Monkstown 3 by 3-2. Newtimes beat Railway Union 2 by 2-1. Glenanne 2 beat St. Brendans by 3-2 and Weston 1 swamped Dalkey by 4-0.

In the Intermediate 'B' Section, Avoca 3 had a good win over Weston 2 by 2-0.

In the Middle 'A' Weston 1 got the better of Monkstown 2 by 2-0 while in the Intermediate 'B' Pembroke Wanderers 3 swamped Weston 2 by 8-0.

In the Middle League 'A', Newtimes after their defeat to Lorraine had a good 4-0 win over Glenanne 2. St. Brendans 2 won by the only goal scored against Weston 1.

In the Intermediate League 'B', Weston 2 accounted for Trinity 3 by 3-2.

In the Railway Cup, Weston 1 excelled themselves when beating Pembroke 2 by 3-2 at Churchill Terrace.

In the Railway Cup Lorraine moved to the semi-final by defeating Dublin University 2 by 2-0 at Lansdowne Road. Their next match on Saturday against Weston 1 at Templeogue should be well worth watching for Weston 1 disposed of RCSI at Leixlip by 3-1 in a well contested game.

Weston 1 reached the semi-final of the Railway Cup in which they now meet Lorraine when they beat RCSI 3-1.

O'Hare opened the scoring for Weston from a McGivern pass and K. Duke soon put them two up when he dribbled into the circle and scored from near the back line with a reverse stick shot.

RCSI were rewarded for their constant pressure on the Weston defence when centre-half Singh pushed towards the circle and their inside-left beating two defenders gave goalkeeper Buggie no chance.

In the second half McGivern increased their lead from an O'Hare pass although they had lost their left-winger earlier on.

In the Intermediate League 'B', Weston 2 and Corinthians 3 played a draw, 0-0.

In a well contested game at Templeogue, Lorraine got through to the Final by the only goal scored at the expense of Weston. The goal was scored by Bobby Shaw from a corner. Weston were awarded a bully but Bill Birnie failed to drive home the advantage.

In the Intermediate 'B' League, UCD 2 and Weston 2 played a drawn game, 1-1, at Glasnevin.
